Japanese

(Photo.1) (Photo.2)
Line began emergence at about 9:00 a.m. on 3rd September, 2005. There was the sign for several days, but did not readily emerge. Fortunately, because it was a holiday on Saturday, I was able to put the state in a camera.
Photo.1 shows the scene that she is going to begin emergence at any moment. However, actually emergence did not readily begin with this posture.I thought that it was because I am in a side with a camera. So, I decided to leave my room for a while. Emergence began as expected when I came back to my room in a few minutes.
Photo.2 is the photograph taken at the beginning after the emergence start. I wanted to photograph a state of emergence a little more finely, but a body already has considerably gone out according to the photograph. Folded wings like the cabbage which it cut in half is very lovely .
(Photo.3) (Photo.4)
Photo.3,Photo4 is the photos that all her six legs go out from her shell and she's waiting untill she dries her body and finds her feet.
(Photo.5) (Photo.6)
She doesn't move yet.(Photo.5, Photo.6)
Note
the stomach which bulged like a balloon! Compared with Photo.1, why has the stmach swollen like this? I guess that the stmach is slightly left, so she swells her stmach out and is taking care not to fall from shell.Seemingly she seems to do nothing, but I thik that it is hard time for mantis.
(Photo.7) (Photo.8)
Photo.7, Photo.8 are photographs from another angle.
(Photo.9) (Photo.10)
When her legs got dry and becomes strong, fixed her legs to the net and the stmach was pulled from her shell.(Photo.9, Photo.10)
After that this praying mantis kicked and dropped her shell and began to walk.
(Photo.11) (Photo.12)
(Photo.11),(Photo.12) Suddenly she began to walk. And when she changed direction of her body, she stayed just where she was.
Feather has been extended little by little in this posture.Take notice of centre of left forewing in the Photo.12. Left forewing has bent as compared with right forewing. I do not understand why it becomes such, but this influence remained after emergence. So as not to bring something bad result, I left her as she was.
(Photo.13) (Photo.14)
(Photo.13),(Photo.14) She is extending her wings. It is extended toward an end from the root of wings little by little.
(Photo.15) (Photo.16)
(Photo.15) She is drying the wings which has finished lengthening.
(Photo.16) The wings will fold up, if it gets dry. The portion of wings has failed in this emergence. So she cannot close her wings firmly.
This is considered to have happened for swing condition by having not stretched net firmly.
(Photo.17) (Photo.18)
Photo.17 is a photograph several days after emergence. After she has come to my place, she molted once and emerged. So, I took her commemorative photo with her shells. The left is the shell of 5th instar larva, the right is the 6th instar larva, and the centre is her who became an adult.
As Photo.17, Photo.18 shows, the left forewing is bending rather than the time of Photo.16. But she can fly about 1m even this condition.
