　What I introduce here is the mantises whom I have kept until now. I got interested in praying mantises at the time of a kindergartener, that is, I continue keeping mantises since 4 years old every year. There is no other custom which continues for a long time than this. I introduce here mantises　in whom record remains.

Japan ( Koshigaya City Saitama Prefecture ) birth. She was caught in the window in the accident. She recovered from the coma miraculously after care. Her one compound eyes and 6 legs became a functional disorder.But she was able to take the meal because I give food by hand. Unfortunately, she has been eaten later by other praying mantises who kept at the same time.

Japan ( Koshigaya City Saitama Prefecture ) birth. It was the time of a sixth grader, and I didn't take any records. But she was the praying mantis who saw the old year out for the first time, she remains clearly into my memory. Although she could see the old year out, she fell unconscious from 30th Dec. and at 1st January, the stomach was only moving faintly. Then the motion of the stomach has stopped completely on the afternoon of 1st January. After this, although mantises lived till the end of December, they could not see the old year out easily.

Japan ( Koshigaya City Saitama Prefecture ) birth. The name was taken from the praying mantis of a monster film ( Godzilla ). I had bred mantises in the case till then. But it is the year turned into pasturage for the first time. Even if I say pasturage, I was pasturing mantis in the garden in that year. When it became in November, it was in the condition that frost is getting down even to the body of a dog in the morning.

Every year, I keep one mantis at least from 1980. But I didn't have the customs of recording mantises at the time of a kindergartener or a schoolchild. So, the records before 1990 does not remain.
